NERITE snails are salt-water animals mainly found in freshwater fish tanks. They are also considered to be helpful for keeping algae at bay. They use most of their time moving in the water, which allows them to consume any algae that they come across.
Nerite type of aquarium snails are from countries such as Tanzania, Somalia, Kenya, South Africa, and Mozambique. They come from rivers and brackish watershore. A Nerite snail’s scientific name – Neritina, refers to the region of Natal in South Africa. Malaysian Trumpet Snails are freshwater snails and primarily found in Turkey, Asia, and Africa. They live 1-2 years on average and grow to about 0.8-2.5 cm in size. Freshwater snails often have long, pointed shells that come in a dark brownish color. The similarity with ice-cream cones is what given them this name.
Black Devil Snails
